Homeschool has been a big buzzword for the last few years. It’s either about really smart children ahead of their class or parents keeping their children at home in an abusive state.

Homeschool isn’t about either situation. It’s about parents taking the time to educate their children in a comfortable environment. Whether you have genius children or children with learning disabilities, homeschool is a valid choice of many parents who care for their children’s welfare.

Read about eight courageous women who homeschooled their children and how they did it. What system did they use? How much time do they spend? What is it like to homeschool children anyway? All these questions and more are answered in this informative book called Home Is Where The Learning Is: Homeschool Lifestyles from Homeschool Moms.

An AWESOME read! Valerie, with the help of her network of homeschool families, has put together a fabulous compilation of homeschool realities. I was a homeschool mom for two years. Circumstances led us back into the norm. This book is just what I needed to realize that I am my children's best teacher and unschooling we will go again. Thank you! I recommend this book to everyone who has ever contemplated or criticized homeschooling.

If you're afraid of tackling homeschooling, you won't be when you finished this book. The practical advice and sweet rewards may just persuade you it's a challenge worth pursuing.

As a college educator, I found Steimle's collection a refreshing read. I have known many families who have homeschooled their children with tremendous success. Most of the homeschooled students I receive at the college level--some of them entering public school for the first time--are excellent students, eager to learn and grow. This book is a must read for anyone frustrated with traditional school paradigms at the secondary level and looking to homeschool.
-Dr. Nicole Amare, Assistant Professor of English, the University of South Alabama.
