About the Book
|
|
For several
years I conducted a Ghost Walk for my business group, the Downtown
Bordentown Association, as a fund raiser. At first there were only
a few stories available, mine included. As time went on people came
into my bookshop to tell me their stories. And so it grew.
Ghosts can be elusive creatures. One family can live in a house
for a few generations and never have an inkling that they have a
resident spirit. When the house is sold, another family moves in
and wow! The new family is more psychically aware and see ghosts
that have inhabited the house for a century.
History sets in Bordentown City like a shawl on an old woman's shoulders,
starting before the Revolutionary War. People with passion that
die unexpectantly often are too confused to go on to the next plane.
They remain, in spirit form in the homes and lives they loved. Sometimes
they attach themselves to a person.
You'll read about gentle ghosts, lost souls, broken hearts and just
confused spirits. The tales of the supernatural in Bordentown City
may give you a new vision of what life-after-life is, for some people.
