Blue Mud
tells the story of a small, Southern, rural American town and the
often-strange behavior of the inhabitants of Clayton, Kentucky through
the eyes of one of its younger citizens, Woodrow. Although the city
is "made up," both it and the characters were inspired by reality.
At only $13.95, it is pretty accessible to all, ordering is easy
(as a paperback or as an eBook) and at a little more than 100 pages,
it's a quick read.
Each individual chapter is pretty much self-contained and can stand
alone so if the reader only has 15 minutes or so, it's easy to knock
out a segment.

I really enjoyed the book! It reminded me of growing up It's a lovely book; reminiscent and sad for those of us from one of those small towns.
