Lights,
Camera, Woof! Writing For Pet Entertainment Television, an Activity
Workbook offers young writers an exciting self-directed
approach to creating television newscasts, game shows, situation
comedies and more. The Pet Network, a barking broadcast empire run
by and for pets, will engage teachers, students, and home-schoolers
in lesson plans that tickle the imagination while sowing the bird
seeds of solid writing.
From editorials to interviews to short movies, Lights, Camera,
Woof! provides opportunities that will entertain the entire
family. Participants can role-play underdog anchordogs, opinionated
reptilian movie reviewers, and muscular mussel fitness buffs as
they enter the wacky, yet educational, world of The Pet Network.
For ages ten and up.
Lights, Camera, Woof! and The Pet Network make teaching
enjoyable. I can't think of a more engaging way to introduce students
to the world of television writing."
- Marcy Toschi, Literacy Coach and National Board Certified English
Teacher
"Where would we be without animals? I'm glad to see The Pet Network
advocates on behalf of de-clawed cats and chained guard dogs. This
is a workbook with a conscience."
- Debbie Elliott, Co-Creator of teachwithmovies.com and animal rights
activist
"When my children and I enter the studios of The Pet Network,
we see the world from a different point of view -- one that barks,
meows, rivets, and squawks. This isn't homework. It's home fun."
- Yvette Gil, Parent
