What begins
as an annual Labor Day weekend is anything but normal for a small
Minnesota resort town. First, a boy is dragged from his yard by
an unknown creature. Afterwards, the carcass of what appears to
be a young sasquatch is found in a local lake. Why the abduction?
And how did a "Rugaru," as the Ojibwe call the hairy man who appears
in evil times as a warning, end up in Blackwater Lake?
Prompted by a news alert, Canadian wildlife biologists Thor and
Ellie Svendahl leave for the lakes and forests of Minnesota to prove
the Indian community correct. With the help of a forensic anthropologist,
an autopsy unveils convincible evidence surrounding harmful pesticides
plaguing the diversified habitat of the Bigfoot.
