Romance, lust, intrigue, suspense, murder, this book has a little of everything. Reminiscent of an old Hitchcock thriller, the story line of a misguided love keeps you in suspense page after page.

Shattered Dreams is a harrowing and cautionary tale of the lives of four people joined together by love, jealousy and mistrust. It weaves an entangled web of suspense and danger that none escape unscathed.

Ted and Lois, the book's main characters, are living everyone's dreams - love, happiness and prosperity. They are innocently enjoying the fruits of their labor when they are suddenly jolted from their idyllic life into the harsh reality of good versus evil. They are forced to confront their own solidarity, vulnerability and conditional love and learn that sometimes love and happiness come at a very high price. Ted and Lois are a couple in love trying to build a future together, but Ted has a secret he has not yet unveiled to Lois and is not sure how or when to tell her. To complicate matters further a former lover decides she is not ready to let Ted go. A chance encounter begins the start of a shrewd and evil plot which includes adultery and murder.

Rosalind is a murderistic schizophrenic whose twisted mind shakes to the core the belief that for everyone there is somebody. In her sadistic determination to have the love she believes she deserves, nothing is held sacred, not love, commitment, truth, honesty or life. But it is that same determination that eventually leads the love of her life into the arms of another and Rosalind?s murderous rampage ironically seals her own destiny.

This romantic psychotic novel weaves its tale across the ocean into one of the world's most romantic ports, Venice. While the story unveils the mystique and romance that is uniquely Venetian, it permeates the minds of the characters and brings each closer to their fate - fates that are all ruled by death.
