The Confession of Mason Young is a story about a man and his angel, a story of faith, love and forgiveness. Mason Young is a man who found love early in his life, but carelessly threw it away. It is a story of choices and where they lead us on our path; love or lust, money or job satisfaction, a life rooted in spirit or one of quiet desperation. These choices all form a part of Mason’s world. His life becomes empty and shallow because of his choices. We all know someone like Mason Young. It’s only when the angel Ashrael re-enters Mason’s life that he begins to understand that there is a different way to live. Ashrael guides Mason to a new understanding of his life and how to look upon God’s creations with a new perspective, one that lets go of the need for judgment and separation, one that redefines forgiveness, one that looks upon all in the world with loving eyes. We all have an angel in our lives, but we also choose as to whether or not we listen.
