It has a strong moral message of respect for Mother Nature as well as walking in non-judgment and unconditional love. The theme is woven throughout the story line that is full of action and adventure.It begins with a journalist discouraged with the portrayal of dragons as evil creatures. She mysteriously is led to an ancient woman who tells her the stories that were passed down through the generations by the women in her family. Dragons are explained as shape shifters that are here to teach the human race about unconditional love and living in oneness with the earth. The stories begin with a lonely dragon/girl, Mary, who is befriended by a young boy, Charlie. They risk their lives helping people from the kingdom of Karakas. Mary and Charlie rescue a baby prince, Quinton, and raise him in secret to keep him safe from the evil regent that has taken over the kingdom. Maalock, the Dragon of War, becomes one of Quinton’s teachers as he trains to eventually reclaim his throne. Quinton hears the story of his grandfather, Chimeron, and Maalock fighting evil dragons. Evil dragons cannot return to human form having lost their connection with Creator when their egos became uncontrollable. Overcome with pride they declared war on humans. Maalock uses his special gifts to protect himself and humans in his quest against the rogue dragons. Mary and Charlie assist Quinton in reclaiming his throne. Quinton meets Rhianna, a half elf, who had been raised by Maalock. She becomes a dear friend as she teaches him herbal remedies. When she goes to a village to help, she is falsely accused for killing someone. Rhianna sends out a call for help and Quinton rushes with Mary and Charlie to attempt rescue mission. In the ensuing adventure, Quinton realizes his deep love for her. Mystery continues to surround the question of who will fulfill the Ancient Dragon Prophecy to bring peace to the land.
