About the Book
|
Libby is distraught and sad. After her mother died, the family consisted of Libby and her father for a long time. One day her father's new, young wife and her two little kids move in. The kids and their toys take over Libby's bedroom, and she moves into her father's tiny office with his old computer. Always an only child, Libby now feels like and invisible 12-year-old, watching someone else's happy family from the outside.
When her father goes away on a 2-week business trip, Libby feels no one, not even her best friends next door, understands how she feels. She needs someone to talk to and help her feel better. Calling herself lonelylib, Libby, looking for a friend to listen, goes to a place she knows nothing about and has never been before: an Internet chat room.
