About the Book
|
After 35 years observing and interacting with thousands of people, inside and outside of his clinical practice, Dr. Fenn has come to the conclusion that psychology, as the pursuit and “treatment” of “mental pathology”, is a fraud perpetrated by fear and the social prejudice it generates. He asserts there is no “pathology” in human nature, just normal steps in the long process of human evolution, most of which are necessarily partial in their development—therefore vulnerable to moral judgments that fail to comprehend human nature within the overview of a viable big picture.
In his book, The God Child-Abandoned, Dr. Fenn presented a potential overview of the spiritual archeology of human evolution, viewed from the perspective of various categories of human experience. These include chapters on God, religion, morality, guilt, pretense, fear, human nature, learning and politics, all divested of the moral cultural trappings from which these subjects are usually discussed.
The latter topic, politics, is crucial because much of the evil perceived in human nature, is in fact structured into—thus derived from—the assumptions, rules, mores, practices and prejudices required of any social, culture or national group to achieve the solidarity necessary for mob consensus and war, the core of which is grounded in unconscious beliefs that are never examined.
Take for instance the hate letters written by children that followed the elimination of Pluto as one of the planets, typical of the kind of primitive, potentially violent behavior social groups insist upon in support of their particular view of what’s right or wrong—in the passionate avoidance of learning new things.
His new book, Fear-God’s Creator, specifically addresses the subject of fear that ultimately, underneath all other causes, motivates our violent behaviors.
