Throughout his adult years Jim Christiansen has been fascinated with the Sermon on the Mount. He intuitively sensed it holds valuable insights to a happy Christ-like life. For nearly fifty years it has been a primary focus of his daily scripture study. This book is an attempt to capture what he has learned. “I did not set out to write a book. Fifty years ago I set out to understand what is involved in trying to follow Christ. Repeatedly I have been drawn to the Sermon on the Mount as I have found it to be my very best resource for answers. This book is an attempt to share what I have learned from the sermon during those 50 years.” Jim’s career has been in the financial services industry. He has an MBA and is a Certified Financial Planner. He has stayed very involved in volunteer, lay responsibilities in his church. He and his wife, Betty, have been married for over 40 years and have eight children and twenty six grandchildren. |
