Why We Use PDF and Adobe Acrobat Reader

PDF stands for Portable Document Format. It is a way to save a document so it can be viewed and printed out in the way the author intended, regardless of whether you're on a Macintosh, a Windows PC or a Unix machine.

PDF was created by Adobe Systems Incorporated, and you can read more about it here if you want all the gory details.

As a Booklocker.com customer, all you need to know is most every book in our inventory is in PDF. And to view PDF files, you just need Adobe Acrobat Reader on your PC. The reader is free and is already on 150 milllion computers out there. If it isn't already on your computer, you can get your free copy here.
