Loading Ebooks onto the iPad or iPhone

Please note that not all of BookLocker's authors have chosen to make their ebooks available in ePub format, but all BookLocker's ebooks are in PDF. Apple's iBook app can read both formats.

Here is how you install an ebook, no matter if it is in PDF or ePub format, on to an iPad or iPhone:

Step 1 - If the file you downloaded from us is a PDF, it's compressed and needs to be unzipped first. Double-click on the file and your computer should automatically make a new, uncompressed version. If you had our system email you the ebook, or you downloaded the ePub version of the ebook, the file is already unzipped and you can skip to Step 2.

Step 2 - Launch iTunes. (Be sure it is at least Version 10. If you keep your system up-to-date it will be.)

Step 3 - Drag the eBook file you downloaded from us into iTunes.

Step 4 - Connect your iPad or iPhone to your computer.

Step 5 - Click on the iPad or iPhone icon under "Devices" in iTunes, then click on "Books" at the top right. Make sure: a.) "Sync Books" is checked, and b.) "all books" is selected.

Step 6 - Sync your iPad or iPhone.

Step 7 - When the sync is complete, launch iBooks on your iPad or iPhone.

Step 8 - Select "Collections" at the top left. If the file you dragged over is a PDF file, make sure "PDFs" is checked. The ebook should appear on the bookshelf. Just click on it to open.

Step 10 - Enjoy!

Our Ebooks are in PDF. All you need to read them is
Adobe Acrobat Reader
, which is free. (And you probably have it already!)
